Flowers of Wisdom ~ Womb Steam Herbs
Flowers of Wisdom ~ Womb Steam Herbs
Womb steaming is an ancient and beautiful way to take care of and connect with one’s womb and self, just as our ancestors have done across many cultures. It's the ultimate way for self care and gives time to slow way down, connect in and bring nurturing to the area we hold many of our emotions and past within. Along with optimising womb health and enhancing menstral well-being.
A handpicked collection of 9 herbs and flowers, an ode to the 9 Mayan deities in each pack. Grown on Bundjalung Country, void of chemicals, harvested intentionally in gratitude of healing and abundance.
Ritual
Create a space of quiet and comfort with time before and after to welcome and acknowledge your intention. Breathe it in, and breathe it out.
Gather enough blankets and towels to wrap around your body so that when covered, steam and warmth cannot escape.
Bring to the boil a pot of water. Turn off the heat and add 1/4 cup of herbs. Cover with a lid immediately.
If you have a womb steaming chair, place the pot (alternatively rice cooker with herbs) underneath. If you do not have a womb steaming chair, the most relaxing and simple way to position yourself is pot next to the bed, with arms placed on top of the bed leaning against it.
Position yourself on your chair or upon the bed and cover yourself so that no herbal steam can be let out.
Very, very slowly, lift the lid. Do go slow as there will be a delay in the steam reaching your yoni and lifting the lid, so go slow.
Now is when you can drop back, let the world melt away and perhaps meditate on your intention, or simply just enjoy the warmth and nourishment of the herbs. Slowly, slowly you may feel your body relaxing one muscle at a time. Attention to allowing the womb space to relax is very beneficial.
Remain here for 10-30 mins or as long as comfortable.
After your yoni steam, be mindful of how you get up. Offer your herbal yoni infusion back to the Earth - here she will make magic with what is not needed and work with your intention.
